This video captures part 1 of Day 7 of our Glacier National Park Backpacking Adventure, the Highline Trail starting at Logan’s Pass. This was a day hiking day and our last day in Glacier National Park. We backpacked more than 50 miles in days 1-6 almost entirely alone, but saw more amazing waterfalls, cliffs, views, and wildlife including bears on our day hiking day. On the Highline Trail the crowds dwindled away by about 1 and ½ mile out. Again, you get no crowds/no people if you just hike away from the parking lots and keep going!

Are you over 60? Do you enjoy the outdoors and want to try backpacking? Wondering if you can hike Glacier National Park? This Glacier National Park 2022 video series will show you how to hike 50 miles and more in Glacier NP, even if you are over sixty and overweight (like we are).
The season at Glacier for backpacking is short and getting into the backcountry is the best way to avoid the crowds and take in the beauty of Glacier. We used Glacier Guides for our trip and could not have been more pleased. Our six-day trip from the Loop Trail off Going to the Sun Road to the Park at the head of Bowman Lake started out beautiful and although we did not think it was possible, the trail became more awesome each day!
