In this 2 Part Series I am Showing how I Designed and Build a Universal HeNe Laser Tube Power Supply, that can be Modified for other uses too. The Components you see for use in this Video look little used, bcs I reused them from the Previous Version of this Power Supply PCB.
This is is a Private Fun Project, where I used additional Parts from LowCost Modules to Build the Base High Voltage CCFL Royer Inverter and the DCDC Buck for the Variable Low Voltage Supply of it. The Most important Part, the HV Transformer was taken from the CCFL Royer Inverter, that costs peanuts and is widely available. All other Parts where purchased from Aliexpress :-) Except of the HV Resistors the HV Diodes and the CCFL Inverter itself.
The Data for the CCFL Inverter are :
COTEK 128802C Dual Lamp CCFL Inverter 12V to 2.3kV, 10mA (± 2mA), 18...45kHz, EF25 Transformer, ca. 12W
When I was speaking about the onboard Meter Circuitry, where a 200mV Capable Meter shall be connected, I speak about Multiplying the Voltage, well that's wrong.. There is a 100000:1 Divider so that 20kV are 200mV on the Meter.
( In your Head you have then to Multiply by 100000 :-) )
