Years later, her town in North Carolina was struck with disaster, my hometown in Wisconsin came together, loaded my Yukon Denali, XL with food, blankets, etc.

After loading my truck, I made the dangerous but well worth it risk of driving through the disaster of North Carolina Carolina hurricanes

I made it safe
And I finally got to meet my newfound friend
One day, I’ll meet her family, but today it was about us and being able to help her church plus those affected by the hurricanes - storms 

This trip was more than just a journey… it was a way to give back to other communities

We traveled to North Carolina during a time of real need, donating our time, our energy, and our hearts to serve others. What we experienced there changed us in ways we didn’t expect.

We were honored to donate and serve alongside the Children’s Ministry at Christ Church in Hickory, North Carolina. Watching children smile, families feel supported, and a community come together was something we will never forget. This wasn’t about recognition—it was about compassion, faith, and being present for others when it counted most.
