This dynamic webinar hosted by the Institute for the Public Understanding of Risk (IPUR) at the National University of Singapore explores the findings of the inaugural UN Global Risk Report, featuring insights from leading experts in risk management, policy, and finance.
The panel discussed global perceptions of risk including climate change, mis- and disinformation, geopolitical tensions, and technological threats and examined how prepared multilateral institutions are to address these challenges. Regional differences, barriers to effective risk management, and the interconnectedness of today’s risks were highlighted, with practical recommendations for building resilience and trust.
Panellists were Prof Joseph Liow Chin Yong (Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy), Mr Vivek Pathak (International Finance Corporation), and Dr Sarjit Singh (Deloitte Southeast Asia), moderated by Dr Olivia Jensen (IPUR).
