STORYLINE:
Pallets of international aid were airdropped into the Gaza strip on Sunday, two days after the world's leading authority on food crises said parts of the enclave are gripped by famine.

Multiple planes were seen dropping aid in the city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification, or IPC, said on Friday famine is happening in Gaza City, home to hundreds of thousands, and could spread south to Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis by the end of next month.

Meanwhile, Palestinians reported more deadly incidents near aid sites and in other areas as Israel pushes to seek control of Gaza City, the strip's largest city.

Israeli strikes and gunfire killed at least 33 Palestinians in Gaza on Saturday, including people sheltering in tents or seeking scarce food, local hospitals said.
