How to restrict and unrestrict a message on messenger?

Learn how it works:

• See less of someone
Removes the conversation from your Chats list so you won't get message notifications.

• Hide your activity
The person won't see when you've read messages or your Active Status.

• Unrestrict Anytime
The person won't be notified you restricted them. Unrestrict from Privacy settings.

How to restrict a message:

• Tap & Hold the Message
• Choose the 'Restrict' option

How to check restricted accounts:

• Tap the Profile Icon at left top corner
• Swipe down and tap 'Privacy' shield icon. (🛡️)
• Tap restricted accounts

How to unrestrict a message:

1st option

• Tap the Profile Icon at left top corner
• Swipe down and tap 'Privacy' shield icon. (🛡️)
• Tap restricted accounts
• Choose the account you want to unrestrict and tap
• At the bottom part tap the 'Unrestrict' button

2nd option

• Search the name of the restricted account
• Choose the account and tap
• At the bottom part tap the 'Unrestrict' button

Disclaimer:
Since it was an update and not an additional option, ignore message is not available anymore once 'Restrict' appears on your messenger.
