This video features a tabla de pies footwork sequence practiced during a Beginner Plus flamenco class at Osende Dance Arts, danced to solo compás por alegrías.
Shown as a class excerpt, it offers insight into the progression of complexity at this level.
The sequence is repeated weekly in class and is used to:
• Build leg strength and coordination
• Develop rhythmic consistency in compás
• Serve as a structured warm-up for more complex material
• Gradually increase difficulty through speed, arms, and head coordination
As the term progresses, the same footwork is danced faster and with added upper-body work, supporting both technical development and musical awareness.
