Описание: The great Ukrainian tenor Ivan Kozlovsky singing an aria from Natalka Poltavka for miners in the Donbas in the late Stalin era. A classic of the Soviet era who therefore sang largely in Russian, Kozlovsky did much to support Ukrainian music and culture. Stalin appreciated his talent but did not trust him enough to permit him to travel to, and perform in, the West.
