The path takes us through “The Meeting Place “
Recognizing this location was a historical place of convergence as a once prominent trading post and gateway to westward expansion. It is also the place where the two largest rivers in Manitoba meet - the Assiniboine and Red Rivers. Historically most travel was done by boat so this became a perfect place to set up shop for fur trading etc.

The metal structure on the hill is an art installation “Forever Bicycles” by Ai Wei Wei. It is supposed to represent mass production and loss of freedoms, as a compliment to the Human rights museum nearby.

The large city of Winnipeg sign is seen beside the CN pavilion which often has music and entertainment events.
