Описание: In Episode 4 of Season 2 of C.A.R.s, Coffee, & Christ, 'the guys' gather around to talk shop, particularly around choosing a good engine for your vehicle, as well as how and when we should challenge traditional thinking about engines. We also answer the all-important question, "When do we need more power?" The answer? Always!

Then, in our typical fashion, we move our discussion to speak about the parallels between vehicle engines and the human heart, which serve as the central headquarters of each, respectively. The men discuss how an engine needs to be replaced when repairing it is no longer possible or is the better financial option.

Yet we see in the Bible that our hearts are in disrepair from the start. Thus, in a spiritual sense, we are 'dead on arrival'. So, as fallen humans, because of sin, we don't eventually become ‘broken-hearted’, but are ‘heart-broken’ from the start. We've all been born into spiritual brokenness, though it takes most of us longer to recognize than we care to admit.

We conclude our episode by speaking about the amazing promise God makes in His New Covenant (Ezek. 36:26-27; Jer. 31:31-34), where He promises to extract the old, spiritually dead heart, and by an act of divine grace, replaces it with a new heart, a new engine, and one that's even better than the old one. Our new heart 'fires up', just like a new engine, and now beats for God, walks in His ways, and wants to obey His commands. Therefore, God is both the Great Physician and the Great Technician!
