Today we initiate a sociological investigation into the 'digitized evolution' of the creative sector. This research examines the critical transition from Narrow AI, which functions as a task-specific tool, to Generative and Agentic systems acting as autonomous creators and workflow-managers. This shift fundamentally alters the sociological fabric of professional creativity.
Focusing on the Video Gaming Industry, we observe designers being repositioned from 'Creators', producers of manual craft, to 'Curators', strategic validators of algorithmic output. We will investigate whether this results in the systemic devaluation of labor or the emergence of a 'human premium' on traditional creativity. By analyzing the design pipeline, we will see how agentic systems displace entry-level career pathways while necessitating high-level conceptual oversight.
Crucially, we will evaluate the emerging legal frontier, specifically how the judicial requirement for a 'human nexus' in authorship challenges the commercial and protective viability of automated workflows. We are not merely witnessing a technological upgrade, but a radical reconfiguration of the relationship between the worker, their craft, and the means of production. This study seeks to define the new social contract of creative labor in an age of algorithmic agency.
