The Ghodrat family, along with Nasro and Grandmother, were Fariba’s guests, and her small house was filled with noise and constant movement. Despite her exhaustion, Fariba smiled; the bustle of the farm brought a sense of life back to the cold atmosphere of winter. Ali Saleh, however, was the special guest of the day. His presence gave the gathering a different mood; as Grandmother’s grandson, he spoke with more energy than ever. At the end of the day, as darkness began to fall, a strange man quietly joined the group. Who do you think he is? Someone from Fariba’s past, or the beginning of a new story that will make the winter longer?
