2) Compound Sentences
3) Complex Sentences
4) Compound-Complex Sentences
A simple sentence carries one independent clause. A compound sentence consists of two independent clauses. A complex sentence has one independent and one dependent clause. Whereas a compound-complex sentence consists of two independent clauses and one dependent clause.
