Hi Vanders! As kind of like an early New Year's resolution, I decided that I wanted to open up more and get more personal with you guys on my channel. Since a lot of people ask me about it, I thought it would be interesting to chat about my modeling journey. In this video I explain how I became a model and also talk about my experiences in the industry and why I stopped modeling full-time. Although I've experienced my fair share of hardships, I want to emphasize that I'm very grateful for every opportunity that has come my way. Like I mention in the video, I don't want this to come across as if modeling was completely horrible and miserable all the time. Some of the moments, like walking Fashion Week or doing beach shoots with my friends in Cape Town, were more than amazing. However, I talked about the ugly parts of modeling before on my channel and for my new subscribers and young aspiring models I do want to continue to shine a light on this industry and its flaws. If you want to become a model, please be aware that it does not only require you to be in great physical shape, but that your mental health plays a huge roll as well. Don't let the industry make you insecure or let people control what you do with your body. You are unique and beautiful and if people don't see that... well shame on them! I hope you guys learned something from this video or enjoyed watching.
