Under the Rural Mental Health Program, LiveLoveLaugh supports vulnerable populations in the rural communities of Davangere in partnership with @apd_india (APD). We provide free psychiatric treatment, community support, access to government-aided schemes and rehabilitation for persons with mental illnesses.
During a recent visit to Davangere, the beneficiaries revealed that after the CMHP (Community mental health program), they could easily access Mental Health resources, and the cost of travelling and medications has been reduced. They are more aware of mental health, earn a living, and gain social support, which seemed impossible before the intervention occurred. The constant support of ASHA workers helped the beneficiaries and caregivers in smoother treatment.
