Houdini Beta 3 For iOS 11.3.1/11 RELEASE And What's The Deal With It

In today's video, we're discussing the release of Houdini Beta 3 for #iOS 11.3.1/11 a few days ago and some important details. The reason I didn't cover it when it was released is that it isn't usable for many people in the Jailbreak community because it requires an Apple Developer Account which costs US $99 / year. This kind of developer account is usually used by App Developers who wanna publish their applications to the App Store, so I doubt many people who aren't developers have one.

This is pretty much what made me not to cover the release of Houdini on June 5. Since I got a lot of e-mails and mentions on Twitter asking me about the video, I've decided to cover it so that people can understand the limitations of the project and why I was holding back.

Where is the limitation coming from?
It's a bit abnormal to see Houdini or Electra requiring a paid Developer Account. The reason for that is that both the current development Electra and Houdini B3 uses Ian Beer's latest iOS exploit, which unfortunately requires an entitlement that can only be used with a paid developer account. The exploit at the core of this great tools drives the requirement for a developer account.

What should you do?
I wouldn't recommend purchasing a developer account just for this. The Electra team works on a solution to avoid having to use developer accounts, and Ian Beer is apparently going to release a new exploit which also lacks this restriction. This may fix the problem. Of course, if you already have a developer account, you can sideload and use Houdini Beta 3 on iOS 11.3.1 / iOS 11.
