This is the 47 minute version. There is a short film version on youtube as well.
A commemoration was held in Golden Bay on 16-19 December 2017,
to celebrate the first encounter between the people of Aotearoa and Europe.
This occured when Dutchman, Abel Tasman and his sailors on two ships, the Heemskerk and Zeehaen, sailed into Golden Bay on 18 December 1642, and encountered the local people who were Ngati Tumatakokiri.
The event was developed by the
