Day 15 of teaching myself Unity until I make a Top 100 Steam game!
Today, I built a simple UI to test saving and loading data using Unity’s PlayerPrefs system.
We saved integers, floats, and strings — but more importantly, I broke down exactly where Unity stores your data across platforms like Windows, macOS, Android, and WebGL. 🧠
This kind of quick-save system is great for lightweight data, but for real projects, I’m leaning toward encrypted JSON.
📅 Tomorrow, I’ll be exploring Unity’s built-in JsonUtility and when to use it over PlayerPrefs.
