Flashpoint/Arma are the ultimate anti-war games. It may sound surprising, but this game clearly shows that war as nothing to do with what you see in the movie. Even modern hi-tech warfare eventually goes down to dirt and gore, and at the large scale skills define not so much. Yes, you can employ proper tactics, minimise exposure time to different kind of threats with proper movement/positioning. But in the end, it's about luck if shrapnel thorns pieces of flesh of you, or pierce a skull, or you step on a mine. The larger the scale the less it's up to you how it all will end up for you. And in this game you can feel it perfectly.
