Dally Kimoko was born in 1955 in Congo. The Democratic Republic of Congo. His career began in 1968 when he joined the group Babies. From 1975 to 1977, he played in Ozana orchestra with Jerry Nkoko. 10 years later, his career will grow. He will play in 1978 with singer Nyboma and Kamale orchestra.

A year later, he joins African All Stars with singer Nyboma until 1982. After some collaborations in West Africa, his career will take a new boom after his arrival in Paris.

In Paris, he works with Syllart Productions and quickly becomes one of the most requested guitarists of African music.

In 1988, the guitar melody of "Marcory Gazoil" by Neil Zitanys = great success in Africa and the African African diaspora. Kanda Bongo Man recruits him to replace Diblo Dibala in 1989.
In the early 1990s, Aurlus Mabele to recruit him for his group Loketo. This lasted for two years. From this, Embargo, Stop Arretez, Choc a Distance along with other Loketo discs are recorded.

At the same time, Dally is one of the founding members of the Soukous Stars with Ballou Canta, Lokassa Ya Mbongo and Shimita in 1989.

The end of the twentieth century, he becomes session guitarist. Among the best known, he will play with Papa Wemba, Koffi Olomide, Oliver Ngoma, Gadji-Celi, Yondo Sister, Tshala Muana, Madilu System, Pierrette Adams, Reddy Amisi, Awilo, Félix Wazekwa, Pepe Kalle, General Defao, Guy Lobé etc.

Dally Kimoko leaves the Soukous Stars in 2001 and continue his collaborations. In 2002, Dally plays with singer Leslie and the Ivorian band Magic System to create a song "On n'sait jamais".

In 2003, Dally played in the album Radio Bakongo, in collaboration with "El Rey" Paulo Salgado Batata in Colombia. Dally participates in concerts in tribute to the who died in 2004.
In 2007, he plays on last disc of Madilu System (good mood) released just before his death.
During 2008, he releases album titled: Bon vent. In recent years, Dally Kimoko performs regularly with his group "Bon Vent de Paris" in the French capital.
