Описание: As when I was younger, I had always suffered with anxiety, and self-doubt in my own ability. Past experience when I was playing Football even though I was playing well I would still criticise my own ability, when I had bad games would say to myself “I’m not good enough” I will never get to the top level”. Negative thoughts in sports but more in our day-to-day lives which are holding us back. Then when I got into coaching I wanted to learn more about psychology around sport and what makes us feel this way?

I have developed the knowledge that the only thing holding us back is ourselves no one else. I have got so much better at controlling my anxiety & a more positive outlook on life by learning some of the techniques that some of the top athletes and famous people have developed from people such as Michael Phelps, Steph Curry, Floyd Mayweather, Ant Middleton, Michael Jordan, and Conor McGregor. Now I have a huge belief in helping others who are feeling that way my past experiences now are opportunities to give back to people who need help because most people around sports have been through hard situations but it’s how to control and overcome it is the hard bit for some people.

Self- Doubt is massive in sports and in life in general, it is a defense mechanism in which our brains protect us from failure to not allow people to give us that extra 5% to achieve their goals. It's the fear of making a mistake. Something is holding them back and that is because most mistakes happen due to self-doubt ( lack of faith ) in themselves. When a negative situation happens most people focus too much on it and have more anxiety that they are not capable of achieving their dreams. Try to not compare yourself to others, don’t listen to anybody's opinions and advice focus on your ability, and think back to your past achievements, not past negativity. What is the cause of your self-doubt? your own ability? or are you afraid of others' opinions? or you afraid of letting the coach down?

Fear of Failure? = An intense worry you experience when you imagine all the negative things that "could" ( ifs or buts) happen if you fail to achieve a goal. This is the enormous worry that increases the odds of holding people back and giving up or in simple terms just the fear of making a mistake. Being successful relies on having belief in your ability that also can control fear. Perfectionists have such high expectations for how they expect things to turn out, that they may experience an inch of fear that they won't live up to those often unrealistically high standards.

Failures & Setbacks from the past have a massive impact that leaves people overwhelmed with huge self-doubt. This fear and huge anxiety of falling short again, being dissatisfied with performances, and disappointing others is just as real as the fear of not being able to replicate our past successes.

Instead of focusing too much on the negatives as a result of failure use it as motivation, see it as an opportunity to improve rather than an obstacle to succeed. Tips that help are self-talk, imagery, visualization (mindfulness), and meditation. You focus more on anxiety as excitement to become more confident rather than using it as fear will help. As most people use the fear to disrupt their performance due to being scared of making a mistake, letting the team down, letting the coach down, and thinking to themselves “I’m going to embarrass myself “. Instead of thinking to reframe the unhelpful thoughts into more positive thinking, for example :

Replace this with a more positive outlook “ At least giving the challenge a go, I can say I’ve tried. Setbacks are opportunities to grow & learn, rather than struggles to succeed. I will learn from this setback, I am good enough.

Another Negative speech - “ I can’t make this better “ should be replaced with a more positive speech “ There’s always room to improve, each negative there is a positive “

LAW OF ATTRACTION?
A philosophy that says a person having more positive thoughts, beliefs, and confidence brings positivity into someone’s life while opposing negative thoughts brings negative outcomes and negative thoughts into someone’s life. From this, you can gather a more positive mindset that will attract more success and increase confidence than a negative one.

Happiness will attract more Happiness

. More confident
. More respectful

Fear will attract more Fear
Sadness will attract more Sadness
Negativity will attract more Negativity
. Guilt
. Anger
. Frustration
. Worry

How to do this ?

Answer - To change your RESULTS you need to change your mindset/vibes which means you need to change your THOUGHTS then CHANGE your WORDS to make Law of Attraction more attractive more positive. Rome wasn’t built in a day ! Practise over time with positivity then positivity will attract you.
