The Seven Churches of Revelation are found in Revelation chapters 2 and 3, where Jesus Christ delivers personal messages to seven literal churches in Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey). These churches were real congregations in the first century, yet their messages carry prophetic and spiritual significance that many scholars believe extend into the end times.
The messages were given to the Apostle John while he was exiled on the island of Patmos. Each letter follows a similar structure:
A description of Jesus
Commendation (what they are doing right)
Rebuke (where correction is needed)
A call to repentance
