Описание: Another great American orchestra plays one of Ralph Vaughan Williams's symphonies. Previously uploaded here have been RVW's "Pastoral" Symphony with Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra, and RVW's 8th with Charles Munch and the Boston Symphony. Now it's the turn of the San Francisco Symphony under Roger Norrington to give a tumultuous account of RVW6 in a broadcast from 1997. For the visuals, in addition to photos of composer and conductor, I've illustrated the video with shots of San Francisco itself, including some from the great earthquake of 1906.
