The Hindu side had earlier demanded to find the authenticity of the Shiv Ling via carbon dating which the Varanasi court rejected. To deliberate over this, we are joined by senior lawyer Swapnil Kothari said, "When the SC sends the matter back to the trial court, it is up to the latter to go ahead with an order. The stand of the trial court of not hurting the public sentiment is undermining their intelligence."
