I'm playing a Marshall JTM1C through a 1971 Marshall 1960A 4x12 and I'm pushing it with a 1973 EHX LPB-1 Line Booster. This combination comes very close to Ace Frehley's guitar tone Kiss Alive! from 1975. I'm using a 2008 Gibson Les Paul R9 with a 1972 DiMarzio Super Distortion (long legs, black pole pieces version).
