This is one of the hottest topics within writer communities: is the traditional book publishing industry dead? After years of releasing both bestsellers and duds, is this industry entering its death throes? Is it finally time for authors and industry professionals to take self-publishing seriously as the main way to get published? I have read many comments and heard many discussions on this topic, and in this video I want to offer my perspective as someone who has worked both in the industry, as well as an independent editor outside of it.
