I'm a female solo hiker who loves the Pennsylvania outdoors!
I experienced so much peace and joy on my mini adventure at Lackawanna State Park, snowshoeing on the Frost Hollow and Snowflake trails down to the Lackawanna Dam and setting up a little camp to make some hot tea and enjoy the views of the South Branch of Tunkhannock Creek. PA forests are stunning in winter and this was what you would expect - breath-taking, beautiful and serene. I’m so grateful to live in such a beautiful state and to have had the beauty of today’s trail all to myself.
