8वें केंद्रीय वेतन आयोग को लेकर केंद्रीय कर्मचारियों और पेंशनरों में हलचल तेज हो गई है। Federation of National Postal Organisations (FNPO) ने आयोग की अध्यक्ष Ranjana Prakash Desai को पत्र लिखकर 1 जनवरी 2026 से 50% महंगाई भत्ते (DA) को बेसिक सैलरी और पेंशन में मर्ज करने की मांग की है। कर्मचारी संगठनों का तर्क है कि लगातार बढ़ती महंगाई के कारण वास्तविक आय पर दबाव बढ़ रहा है, और डीए में वृद्धि इस बात का संकेत है कि मौजूदा वेतन संरचना पर्याप्त नहीं है। इसलिए 50% डीए का विलय अंतरिम राहत के रूप में तुरंत लागू किया जाना चाहिए, जब तक कि 8वें वेतन आयोग की अंतिम सिफारिशें लागू नहीं हो जातीं।

The 8th Central Pay Commission has sparked fresh discussions among central government employees and pensioners. The Federation of National Postal Organisations (FNPO) has written to Commission Chairperson Ranjana Prakash Desai, demanding the merger of 50% Dearness Allowance (DA) with basic pay and pensions effective January 1, 2026. Employee unions argue that rising inflation has eroded real income levels, and the continuous increase in DA reflects the inadequacy of the current pay structure. They are seeking the DA merger as an interim relief measure until the final recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission are implemented.
