I restored all the carbon parts of my Ducati Monster S4R. Many parts were weathered, dull and in some places also a bit damaged. By sanding them, respraying with clear coat and then polishing them, the parts are in nice condition again. Thanks for looking, if you have any questions, let me know :)

Below are the steps I took
Disassembly
The various parts are in poor condition, discoloured and dull.
Adjust front fender
For a more modern look I shortened the front fender.
Sanding
Everything wet sanded to 600 grit at its finest.
Preparation
I used Silicone Remover & Degreaser from a spray-can. This removes all the last particles and reduces the chance of stains and imperfections.
New Decals
The original emblems were in poor condition. I replaced them with self-designed stickers in the Ducati font.
Paint Booth
To keep the paint under control, I used this spray tent. Very handy and recommended.
Wooden Stands
Each part has its own stand. Secured with double-sided tape. This makes moving and turning during spraying easy.
Applying clear coat
In total I provided the parts with 3 layers of clear coat. The first layer very light, the two following thicker. With a break of 10 minutes between each layer.
Polishing
To remove imperfections and to apply a nice shine, all parts are polished. For an even better result, you could also wet sand with a fine grit 1500 - 2500 before polishing.
