Eagle Eyes Magnify Like A High-Powered Telescope.
Birds of prey can see between four-and eight-times better than humans.
Eagle retinas are covered with cone cells that detect light.
Humans have these same cones but far fewer than an eagle.
There is another cache of cones in the fove, a structure at the back of the eye.
It is deep and convex and magnifies the centre of the incoming image.
Eagles also have superior colour vision and are able to see UV light.
This enables them to see urine tracks that reflect UV light on the ground.
These abilities combine with the eagle's speed and agility to make it a legendary predator.
