Chung Kook-Hyun / Founder & Managing Director of Designing Network
From 1977 to 2008, Mr. Chung worked for Samsung Electronics Corporate Design Center, succesively holding positions of executive director, senior managing director,executive vice president, and residing advisor.
Since 2011, he has been the president of Samsung Art & Design Institute (SADI) and, Corporate Design Center, Samsung Electronics. operating committee of Design Forum of the National Assembly and currently chief of Creative Industry Dept, Seoul Economy Vision 2020.
2013~2014, he has been the chief of the DDP department of the Seoul Design Foundation.
He has been awarded the President’s Award, 19th Korea Industrial Design Exhibition (1979), Iron Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit in 35th Invention Day (2000), Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit by Korea Institute of Design Promotion (2006), Special Award by Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) (2007), and nominated as “25Stars of Asia” by Business Week U.S.A (2005).
