Splitting Firewood for Season & Saying Goodbye to Our Lucy

Join us in this bittersweet video as we tackle the task of splitting firewood for the season. While the sounds of the axe cracking wood are usually therapeutic, this time its mixed with a heavy heart.

As many of you know, our beloved dog Lucy has been a part of our family for 12 years. Sadly, she recently crossed the rainbow bridge. This video is dedicated to her memory. You will see some of our memories with her at the end of the video. If you would like to see them first, you can skip the 22nd minute. We will miss her love and companionship.

Lucy loved being outside on adventures with us. When we moved to Alaska, she was free to roam, and she loved being outside with us. Her absence is deeply felt. We buried her on a hill overlooking our property that she roamed. We know she is watching over us every day.
