I got the chance to sit down with 2025 Arizona Filmmaker of the Year Emilio Miguel Torres, a young filmmaker whose award-winning debut feature film, 'The Ladder,' is making waves across the country. Recently, "The Ladder" won the Jury Award for Best Made in Alaska Feature (Narrative) at the 25th Anchorage International Film Festival.
Emilio shares his journey, from growing up in a small town in Alaska to attending NYU film school during Covid and how he raised $15,000 in just 10 days for his feature film that initially started as a proof of concept.
