1962 Custom Allen Organ By request I have uploaded a somewhat rare video and audio of an impromptu demo of various stops for what was at the time of installation the largest Allen organ west of the Mississippi. It had been in constant use since installation, and was used for recitals, congregational singing, and use with an orchestra. It required minimal maintenance, and what maintenance was required was very low tech for the most part (occasional replacement of capacitors, burned out bulbs, etc). No expensive fancy digital computer chips or cards. Please note that this was not a small home organ and required a small room for the electronics. This video was filmed in Sacramento, California.

UPDATE January 29, 2014 - The organ has been decommissioned and replaced by a 4 manual Reuter pipe organ. Thanks for all the interest that was generated by this video, but unfortunately no home was found for the Allen. It is my understanding that its components (such as the more modern amplifiers) were sold for parts.
