How to make stamens. For instance, for this sugar peony. Or for any other flower you want to adorn a cake with. You'll need pastry glue. How to make it is in a video on my channel. You'll also need powdered sugar, cornstarch, and threads. Scissors and a ruler. Measure a thread 21 centimeters long and cut 12 pieces of that length. I cut them with scissors. Now I apply glue to the threads. This is to make them stiff. I separate the threads and place them on a flat surface. I let them dry on the table for about 30 minutes. After drying, I remove the threads and cut them into 3 pieces. Each piece should be 7 cm long.
To make the mixture, I'll need: a spoon of glue, a spoon of powdered sugar, a spoon of cornstarch. I mix everything and dye it the desired color. Then I take a pastry bag or a resealable bag and fill it with the mixture. I cut the tip to a size of 1 mm and squeeze the mixture onto the stamen threads from both sides. I move them to a stand to dry. I made it with Legos! The stamens should be 1 cm apart from each other and the ends should hang in the air. This is so they don't stick together. I let them dry for about 1 hour.
