Hip speed and power are crucial for sprinting and jumping. I use many training units which are designed to develop these qualities. In this video you'll see 7 specific hip focussed drills which progress in intensity. Although I make reference to the triple jump on occasions these drills and the progressions are suitable for all power and sprint reliant athletes.
