Parasitic Infection : This interesting case was diagnosed as Cutaneous Onchocercoma of scalp based on morphological findings of the parasite which are discussed in details by Dr. Mithilesh Chandra, Senior Consultant Histopathologist and Director of Pathology Consultancy Services and CEO of DIGISCAN. Onchocercoma nodules are very uncommon in India and are caused by a nematode namely onchocerca volvulus and is generally not seen in India. This case has been presented to sensitize residents and junior pathologists to the presence of parasites in the tissues as treatment of parasitic infections is very easy but if missed, patient will keep on suffering and will present with complications some time later.
