Welcome to the inaugural video on the Regular Runner channel. I aim to showcase the general majority in the running world and hopefully show how regular consistency can help any of us 'average Joes' to get better.
Today we ran Heaton Parkrun in 29 minutes 13 seconds. This was a tough run at the end of our first week of Half Marathon training for the Manchester Half in October.
In the park today you will see the white tents of the Manchester Samagam Sikh festival. The air was awash with the smell of food as we ran the course, joined by a few members of the Sikh community, and they were kind enough to invite the parkrunners to join them for food and refreshments after the run.
Shout out to @markbailey3786 who also filmed today's run and finished almost 10 minutes ahead of me! Go check him out. He's one of the people who inspired me to give this a go.
Keep putting one foot in front of the other.
