Tragedy strikes in the Gulf of Oman as 3 Indian nationals are confirmed dead following a U.S. missile strike on a commercial vessel. With 24 Indians onboard, the ship was caught in the escalating conflict between the US and Iran near the Strait of Hormuz. The Indian Coast Guard, in coordination with Omani authorities, rescued 21 crew members. The Indian government has summoned the US Charge d'Affaires in New Delhi to express strong disapproval of the incident.
