Underwater Cinema addresses this gap in Timor-Leste by connecting individuals with the ocean to cultivate advocates.
Through weekend activities like snorkelling, founders share their ocean love and organise beach clean-ups, instilling a sense of responsibility.
The 13 founders are now certified freedivers and emergency responders, ensuring safety and education in their efforts to foster a deep connection with the ocean among the Timorese population.
