Hi, this is a short test video of my DIY force feedback yoke, based on this awesome work: https://vrflightsim.wixsite.com/mysit...
Electronics are from a used Microsoft Sidewinder force feedback joystick with some electronics hack (http://www.simprojects.nl/ms_siderwin..., I'm using XPlane 11.11 with my custom upgraded Carenado C152, and XPForce plugin (http://www.fsmissioneditor.com/XPForce/).
In this video you can see a takeoff, plane is only controlled by pitch-trim and rudder!!! So you can see that first there ire only friction forces on roll and pitch axes and then propwash and airflow applies forces on yoke once airspeed increases. Also it is shown how the trim setting influences the yoke mid-point.
Now I'm working on the documentation, I'm planning share all STL files and part drawings just like Jay did in his page, so anybody can reproduce this project in the future. Please note that the yoke handle is also a custom design, dimensions are from a real C152 but handles are similar to the original Microsoft ones. Of course 3D printed on my printer... :)
Stay tuned!
Adrian
PS.: you can see the upcoming HungaryVFR sceneries in the background, taking off at LHTL airport. :):):)
