I’ve been making spinach pasta for years, and this version creates a more uniform green colour similar to restaurant-style pasta. Spinach pasta is delicious, healthy, and just as versatile as any homemade pasta dough you can make from scratch.

Homemade pasta is easier than most people think. Over time I invested in mechanical pasta rollers and cutters, but you can absolutely roll the dough by hand, cut different shapes, and make beautiful pasta that way too.

This video was originally meant as a fun St. Patrick’s Day green pasta idea, but spinach pasta is a fantastic dish any day of the year.

I highly recommend using semolina flour for pasta. The slightly coarse grind gives the noodles a toothier texture that works perfectly in pasta dishes. I also like using semolina when baking sourdough bread and mixing it into pizza dough. I haven’t tried it in focaccia yet, but that might be next!
