New Play Space Inspires Community Creativity!

Milwaukee’s Henry Maier Festival Park hosts 1.2 million visitors annually. It’s the site of major cultural, ethnic, and community events. Yet its former playground was outdated and needed to be re-built.

A team was tasked with reimagining the 1.25- acre site and developing a new space that would welcome all families while igniting imagination
and creativity among visitors. During the development process, Milwaukee
World Festival, Inc., the producer of Summerfest and operator of the park, selected Little Tikes Commercial via a competitive process. Little Tikes
Commercial Sales Representative Northland Recreation led the planning process, which resulted in an inclusive play environment for all, regardless of age or skill level, including those who may experience a variety of challenges.

Opened in June of 2021, the park features 54,000 square feet of play equipment in bold, eye-catching colors. By October, it had already attracted tens of thousands of children and families.
