The Castellows - A Little Goes A Long Way, Dosey Doe - The Big Barn, Spring, Texas

Описание: The ‪@thecastellows‬ ALWAYS put on a great live show. This was my 18th show and I can attest that they keep getting better and better, adding new gems to the set list.

This song, A Little Goes Long Way is a staple in all their performances and is the title track from their debut EP of the same name. I just love these lyrics, the imagery, the contradictory lyrics ("I'm a little confidential, to everyone I talk about it"), the whole thing. I did have to look up what a cross stitch in a lace seam was :) That is a more abstract image and it even 'stumped' Lily at the Fort Worth show (one of the FEW times I've heard he miss any line ... no worries though, Ellie filled in and kept it going). Maybe the "got the whole choir singing along" is the best line, right?, especially when the harmonies come in on that line, just like on the EP - brilliant!

Dosey Doe - The Big Barn is SUCH a nice venue huh? Maybe the coolest place I've seen them play. So rustic! The sound was good and not too loud - I think I did not have to wear ear protection. And the lighting was pretty good too - everyone looked radiant. Although Lily can be in the shadow from her hat a wee bit. In the future I'll edit in some video my buddy took from the left side of the stage and that is nice and clear on everyone's faces. That takes some time so enjoy this front angle in the meantime :)
