In today's video we discuss side characters and how to give them arcs. That's right, we meant plural, because we believe that you can write more than one side character with an arc and do it well. Giving arcs to side characters is made possible by giving them minor arcs. Minor arcs have all the basic ingredients of a major arcs, just without all the small elements in between. By just using the basic elements of an arc, we are able to give our side characters just enough to still be a fulfilling story for each of them without taking away from our protagonist.
