Bootstrap Pickups Original Recipe - Malden Mozak Stock Tele Pickup Swap

Описание: I swapped out the stock Alnico V pickups in my Malden Mozak with the Alnico III Original Recipe models from Bootstrap Pickups. I recorded the guitar immediately before and after the pickup swap with the same strings.

I also changed the stock electronics (500k pots, 0.047uF capacitor) to 250k pots and a 0.022uF capacitor.

I installed the Bootstrap pickups at the same heights as stock: 5/64" (bridge) and 7/64" (neck) with the E strings while fretting the 21st fret. There were differences in the pickup construction: raised (stock) vs flush (Bootstrap) pole pieces in the bridge, and radiused (stock) vs flat (Bootstrap) pickup cover in the neck.

Stock pickups measured at 7.78kohm (bridge) and 7.08kohm (neck), while the Bootstrap set measured at 6.32kohm (bridge) and 7.20kohm (neck).

I recorded DI tracks of the guitar, and reamped into my 5F1-inspired head through a Jensen P10R speaker inside a Pro Junior IV cabinet. The cabinet was mic'd with a Sennheiser E906 in the flat setting.
