Beach Getaway in the UK! Affordable Staycation in Southend | World's Longest Pier & Adventure Island

Описание: Craig and I headed to Southend recently for Craig's dad's wedding and we decided to make a weekend of it! We explored the area and walked along the world's longest pier and checked out Adventure Island!

I haven't been to Southend in such a long time but it was such a lovely weekend away from London. Train tickets to get there from London weren't expensive at all and the hotel was about £100 a night so it was a really affordable weekend. They have arcades along the beach and really cute little seaside shops selling doughnuts and trinkets and it was the perfect little staycation.

Since we'd been to the wedding the night before, we didn't do any rides at Adventure Island because Craig was a little bit fragile, but it was really fun to walk around and see the rides. I have to go back again sometime soon because it was a really lovely trip!
