A powerful 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Bogo City, Cebu, on Tuesday night, collapsing buildings and sending residents across the Visayas region fleeing their homes in fear.

The earthquake struck at 9:59 PM on September 30, 2025, with its epicenter located just 17 km northeast of Bogo City.

Video captured the lights and parts of the exterior facade of the San Pedro Apostol Bantayan Parish Church destroyed by the 6.7-magnitude earthquake.

The Bureau of Meteorology issued a tsunami warning and advised residents in Cebu and the surrounding provinces of Leyte and Biliran to avoid coastlines due to possible waves as high as 90 centimeters.
