Today (17th February 2024) is 99 years since the birth of actor, Hal Holbrook. An Academy Award nominee. Holbrook's first on-screen acting appearance came in television series, The Brighter Day in 1954, with his feature film debut coming in 1966 drama, The Group. Holbrook was a star of both stage and screen, but his eclectic career which spanned over 50 years came to an end in 2017 and on 23rd January 2021 at the age of 95, Holbrook passed away.
