The transformation of Euploea mulciber (Striped Blue Crow) from caterpillar to butterfly (Male).
Host plants: Adenium spp., Ficus Tree (Ficus benjamina), Crown Flower (Calotropis gigantea), etc.
I raised the caterpillar in a small container.
When the caterpillar has fully grown, it will look for a place to make a silk pad to hang its body upside down, then getting ready to pupate.
Pupation takes approximately 7-9 hours after the caterpillar hangs its body with a silk pad.
The newly formed chrysalis is usually yellow, and it gradually becomes silvery about a day later.
The chrysalis stage lasts about 6-7 days to become a butterfly. It depends on environmental factors such as climate.
